Nebraska gained another high school lineman on Saturday, building for a stronger future line.
Sua Lefotu, a senior out of St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California, in greater Los Angeles committed to Nebraska as a late arrival in the 2023 recruiting class. The composite 3-star 6-foot-4, 285-pound defensive lineman from the best high school team in the country chose Nebraska over Washington. He received late offers from Tennessee, Arizona State and Hawaii.
Proud and honored to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska. I want to thank God, my family and everyone that has supported me along the way. #GBR pic.twitter.com/BfFgBqXMMg

He’s the second Californian in Nebraska’s 2023 recruiting class, along with Sacramento native and junior college arrival Kai Wallin. Lefotu is the ninth defensive line addition, between interior line and edge rushers. Of course, those numbers could fluctuate as the coaching staff shuffles players to fit skillsets.
Lefotu’s decision follows an official visit to Nebraska earlier this month.
This moves Nebraska’s recruiting class to 27 signings through high school and junior college. Nebraska ranked No. 23 in the latest composite recruiting rankings before Lefotu’s decision.
