Hail Varsity has been able to confirm two big visitors for the Northern Illinois game on Sept. 16.
Nebraska will be hosting a pair of teammates from California powerhouse Junipero Serra in Gardena, California. Four-star athlete Bryan Addison and 4-star wide receiver Kobe Smith are scheduled to attend the final nonconference matchup of the season.
Addison is one of the highest-rated athletes in the country and it’s easy to see why. He has great size (6-5, 185) and the athleticism to excel at either defensive back or wide receiver in college. Both wide receivers coach Keith Williams and cornerbacks coach Donte Williams are recruiting him for Nebraska, but it seems like Nebraska projects him as a safety.
Nebraska is battling the Los Angeles schools USC and UCLA for Addison, and will be looking to make up ground with him later this month.
Smith is a wide receiver that Williams has had his eye on for a long time. He has an excellent frame (6-2, 175) and is a very advanced route runner for his age. Watch his film and you will notice he is consistently open due to his route-running ability. Smith is a hands catcher, something Williams holds in high regard, and always looks to pick up extra yards after the catch.
Smith holds offers from Notre Dame, USC, Arizona and Oregon to name a few. Nebraska is in a better position currently with Smith as he has a tremendous relationship with Williams. I currently have a predicition in for the wide receiver to end up at Nebraska.
