The game against Indiana is a huge one in the early tenure of Coach Scott Frost at Nebraska. The team is in desperate need of a win to get closer to bowl eligibility but also to wipe out the sour taste of the loss at Minnesota two weeks ago.
This weekend is an interesting one as the Huskers have one official visitor coming in. There is a heavy emphasis this weekend on priority walk-ons.
Let’s breakdown where the prospects are in their recruitment.
3-star defensive end/outside linebacker Latarie Kinsler (Pahokee, Florida)
There is intrigue around Kinsler, the lone official visitor this weekend. He’s been prolific during his high school career at rushing the quarterback. He racked up over 20 sacks last season. At 6-foot-4 and 212 pounds, he has a good frame but whichever college he attends will need to put some weight on him. Still, the hope is that added weight wouldn’t hurt his explosion and pass rush skills. Kinsler is a former Louisville commit and has also taken an official visit to Syracuse. He is an early enrollee.
2020 Committed Unofficial Visitors
Turner Corcoran is the lone scholarship 2020 commit expected in town this weekend. Since the weekend is mostly built around priority walk-ons, it’s not a surprise that all of Nebraska’s current pledges will be at the game. Surely, they will be working on some of the players on the fence about joining the tradition. It’s noteworthy that both Issac Gifford and Ty Hahn will be on the sidelines this weekend. Those are two players that Nebraska would love to walk on but each has held out so far. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lincoln Southeast running back Nick Halleen joined the fold soon. The Huskers will look to add four or five walk-on commits soon.

2021 Committed Visitors
Elkhorn South 2021 offensive tackle commit Teddy Prochazka will be back in Lincoln. In addition, priority outside linebacker TJ Bollers is making his second game trip this season. Another good weekend for Bollers and his family in Lincoln could go a long way to pushing the Huskers to the front of his list. Jermaine Hamilton, Beau Stephens and Jimmy Wyrick are also prospects to know from the 2021 group.
