Will Farniok Expects 2018 Class to be ‘Awesome’

April 26, 2017

Q: How was your spring game visit as a commit?

WF: It was different coming back as a commit. I was more focused on talking to all of the other guys and getting there here, and really just moving around. It was cool being a commit.

Q: You originally weren’t sure when you’d commit. What changed your mind?

WF: I just felt like it was time and I felt like when other schools contacted me, Nebraska was where I wanted to go no matter what. It just felt like Nebraska was the best.

Q: Did your older brothers try to talk you into Iowa State or Oklahoma instead?

WF: They all encouraged [Nebraska] because they all love the coaches here. They all thought it was awesome and think it’s a great school and will do great things.

Q: Will there be a game where the whole family will be in Memorial Stadium?

WF: It’d be sweet. Hopefully. I hope it all works out [for that to happen].

Q: What did you think of the fans at the spring game?

WF: It’s crazy, especially because it’s just a practice. It’s insane. The fan base is insane here.

Q: What was your favorite part of the day?

WF: I’d say before the game, just talking to everyone and just watching the game and hanging out. It was pretty fun.

Q: Will you be back for more visits this fall?

WF: I think so. I think I’ll be back quite a few times.

Q: Did Matt have any words for you after you committed?

WF: He said it was awesome. He’s really excited and he’s really happy for me to get here. It’ll be fun, that’s for sure.

Q: What do you think of your 2018 class so far?

WF: It’s going to be a good class. I’m excited about it. I think [the coaches] are doing a great job. I think it’s going to be awesome.

Q: Where do you fit personality-wise in your class?

WF: I like to be outgoing, having fun and doing whatever.

Q: Are all of your brothers as outgoing as you?

WF: I’d have to say we’re all pretty close together. We all like to have fun.

Q: You seem to smile more than Matt. Is that true?

WF: Oh, yeah. People say I smile a lot.

Q: What are you looking forward to now that you’re committed?

WF: I’d say my senior season and going back to the state championship is what we’re focusing on now. We have a good team now in high school. It’s going to be a good year.

Q: And what are you looking forward to as a Husker?

WF: I’d say the whole team and having fun with everyone. It’s going to be exciting.
