There is another transfer added to the mix for the Huskers.
Nebraska landed Arizona State defensive back Tommi Hill on Monday. He made his announcement on Twitter Monday night.

It’s been an interesting road to Lincoln for the Orlando, Florida, native. The Huskers recruited him hard last year. They were among his top choices through his recruitment. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented him from visiting Nebraska. Hill picked Arizona State out of high school in the 2021 recruiting class. He was the Sun Devils’ second-highest rated commitment of that class.
Hill (6-0, 205) played in 11 games for Arizona State this season. The defender seemed poised to hold down a starting role in Tempe this fall. He still has his redshirt available but has three years of eligibility left to use at Nebraska. Now he enters the mix in a defensive back room in flux at Nebraska.
The Huskers must replace three starters in defensive backs coach Travis Fisher’s room. Cam Taylor-Britt, Deontai Williams and Marquel Dismuke will not be back next season. It’s assumed that Quinton Newsome will hold down one spot at cornerback in 2022. Myles Farmer played an increased role at safety in 2021 after Williams went down with an injury.
The Huskers are pushing hard to reshape the roster. Coach Scott Frost is trying to inject many transfer players into the team. Hill is the third transfer in recent days to join the program. He joins offensive lineman Kevin Williams Jr. and kicker Timmy Bleekrode.
There will be several more to come.
