At Least Twitter Was Still Good in a 38-17 Nebraska Loss to Wisconsin

October 08, 2017

The Huskers (3-3, 2-1 Big Ten) might not have looked great on the field Saturday night in a 38-17 loss at home to No. 8 Wisconsin (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten), but there were still some pretty clever things happening on Twitter.

Here are the top tweets from the game.

All. The. Chills.

This seemed like an accurate representation of how I was feeling looking at my Twitter timeline following a pick-six from quarterback Tanner Lee on the Huskers' opening drive.

Luke Gifford. Basically how we all feel about the linebacker.

Sneaker Joe coming in hot after the officials missed what many felt was a holding call on Wisconsin. The officials had previously stopped a Nebraska punt because they weren’t in a “safe space” for the play to begin. I don’t know either.

For the brand.

Sloppy indeed.

What a picture. Memorial Stadium was, truly, jumpin’.

The Huskers used throwback uniforms to honor the 1997 national championship team. So, naturally, the Lincoln Police Department brought out some throwbacks of their own.

Your weekly dose of Faux. The Badgers were in the midst of a 10-play, 80-yard drive that ran off 5:45 in the fourth quarter and put them up 31-17 with just over nine minutes left.

Any tweet with Peter Griffin in it is automatically an “A+” tweet in my book.
