In the long history of great, sad country songs, Faron Young’s “Hello Walls” might be the saddest (and one of the greatest). I mean, the man in the song comes home and asks the walls of his house how their day was, and when you stop and really think about that it’s kind of a gut punch.
I think both man and anthropomorphized walls would’ve been at least a little happier with a 2017 Hail Varsity schedule poster, which makes today a good day for them because the posters are available now.
Designed by Hail Varsity design director Quentin Lueninghoener and brought to you by Kidwell, the 2017 Hail Varsity schedule poster puts Husker fans front and center with a depiction of one of fall’s favorite rituals — walking into Memorial Stadium for some Nebraska football. If you’ve collected previous editions of the poster, the latest one feels very much like a continuation of what we hope is becoming a signature look.
There are a couple of ways to get one. You can order online for just $1 (plus shipping and handling). If you’re in Lincoln, you can currently find the posters at Best of Big Red (both locations), Barnes & Noble (both locations) and Husker Headquarters (both locations).
Happy football season and congratulations walls.
