Nebraska punter Caleb Lightbourn has been named Big Ten Freshman of the Week following his performing against then-No.22 Oregon on Saturday.

The freshman averaged 47.2 yards on his five punts and placed three of those five inside the 20-yard line. Lightbourn set “personal bests in average, punts inside the 20 and uncorked a career-long 58 yarder in the fourth quarter,” according to a university release.
After a rough start to the season, Oregon was Lightbourn’s shining moment. He’ll be looking for similar results against Northwestern, who the Huskers visit Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
