What They’re Saying
Head coach Mike Riley on playing at home again:
“Well I’m really glad to be home, and I’m really going to be thoughtful about having our team fresh. At this stage of the year we’re talking about a team that has those areas, that I’ve already mentioned, kind of beat up. The combination of getting ready practice-wise with all the stuff I’ve been talking about and also having them physically ready to play at their highest level, that’s where we have a balancing act to do with this team right now at this stage.”
Wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp on Ohio State:
“Obviously it was a tough game for us, tough loss. There is a lot more football out there, a lot more opportunity for us. Like I said after the game, we are 7-2 and that’s great. We want to continue to strive to be perfect obviously. Like I said, there’s a lot of opportunity for us out there and we have to take care of business and we’ll be OK.”
On emotions after the loss:
“These guys are tough and we’ve got a real tough team. That’s already behind us. We had our meetings yesterday and watched our film. It’s already behind us. We are on Minnesota now.”
Safety Kieron Williams on night games at Memorial Stadium:
“I think it’s the best atmosphere if not in the country, definitely in the Big Ten. One of the best atmospheres as far as our students getting into it, and our overall fan base. It’s great playing here and our night games just give us the chance to have that night game advantage.”
