The week zero season-opener against Northwestern on Aug. 27 in Dublin, Ireland, will kick off at 11:30 a.m. central time and will be televised on FOX.
Following the Big Ten West clash with the Wildcats, the Huskers will host two non-conference opponents in consecutive weeks on their brand-new turf: North Dakota on Sept. 3 and Georgia Southern on Sept. 10. The North Dakota game will begin at 2:30 p.m. and be shown on Big Ten Network while the battle with Clay Helton’s Georgia Southern squad will be at 6:30 p.m. and on FS1.
The new-look Oklahoma Sooners will come to Lincoln on Sept. 17 and the two teams will kick off at 11 a.m. on FOX. The game will serve as FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff and will have a pregame show in Lincoln. Last season, the Huskers lost 23-16 to the Sooners, who are now under the guidance of first-year head coach Brent Venables.
Nebraska will host head coach Tom Allen’s Indiana Hoosiers on Oct. 1. The kickoff time and TV provider for that game are yet to be officially determined, but the conference has narrowed down two start times: 6 or 6:30 p.m. The last time Indiana was in Lincoln, 2019, the Hoosiers won 38-31.
Nebraska’s second road game of the season will be at Rutgers in New Jersey on Oct. 7, which is a Friday. The game will kick off at 6 p.m. and be shown on FS1. The Huskers have never lost a football game to the Scarlet Knights, winning all five contests in the series history.
The rivalry between Nebraska and Iowa in Iowa City will be played on Friday, Nov. 25, at 3 p.m. and will be on Big Ten Network. The Huskers will be looking to snap a streak of seven consecutive losses to the Hawkeyes. The last time Nebraska beat Iowa in Iowa City was 2014.
