Hail Varsity is pleased to announce that it has partnered with sponsors The Railyard, ESPN 1480-AM, Sartor Hamann Jewelers, Ameritas, Renze Display, Bryan Health, Longwell’s, K&Z Distributing, Kidwell and BBB Printing to launch the Hail Varsity Tailgate at the Railyard.
This new event will be held every Friday evening before Nebraska home games in the Railyard on Canopy Street, Lincoln’s premier entertainment district, which features 13-plus restaurants and bars.
“Hail Varsity has been looking for an opportunity to build more personal relationships with our loyal readers and listeners,” Hail Varsity founder and CEO Aaron Babcock said. “We wanted to create an event where fans could spend time with former Huskers while kicking off their gameday weekends.
“I can’t think of a better location than The Railyard on Canopy Street. Fans can park once and walk to any of the fantastic restaurants and bars, experiencing the excitement of Lincoln the night before a Nebraska game. Our 85,000 readers and listeners are an intensely passionate and loyal group and we appreciate every one of them.”
Attendees at the Hail Varsity Tailgate at the Railyard will have the chance to talk all things Nebraska with former Huskers and the Hail Varsity team as we broadcast the Hail Varsity Radio show, hosted by Chris Schmidt, live from the Railyard. The Hail Varsity Radio show is Nebraska’s largest drive-time sports talk show, airing daily on five stations across Nebraska, including ESPN 1480 in Lincoln.
We will have a craft beer tasting bar – featuring a different local brewer each week (sponsored by Longwell’s and K&Z Distributing).
The event is also a great opportunity for fans to win tons of prizes each week and register weekly for a grand prize courtesy of Sartor Hamann Jewelers.
The Hail Varsity Tailgate at the Railyard is from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and is free of charge to Husker fans of any age.
