Huskers Jump Forward in Latest AP and Coaches Polls

September 25, 2016

The Nebraska Huskers are moving on up. After defeating the Northwestern Wildcats 24-13, the Huskers jumped to No. 15 in both the Amway Coaches Poll and the AP Top 25.

Nebraska is one of five Big Ten teams ranked in the Amway Coaches Poll and AP Top 25. Ohio State leads the way at No. 2 in both polls.

The Huskers started the season unranked but have slowly climbed in the rankings after a 4-0 start. This is the highest ranking for Nebraska since being No. 11 prior to facing Wisconsin in early Nov. 2014. Nebraska faces unranked Illinois at home next Saturday, Oct. 1.
