A couple of notes on additions and subtractions:
>> Walk-on quarterback Matt Masker is listed on the Huskers' travel roster but NU confirmed Saturday morning that sophomore UCF transfer Noah Vedral had been granted a waiver by the NCAA for immediate eligibility and has replaced Masker on the trip to Northwestern. Vedral will suit up and be available for head coach Scott Frost.
>> Sophomore safety JoJo Domann made the trip. Domann has been dealing with an injury in recent weeks, causing him to miss both of Nebraska's road trips to this point (Michigan and Wisconsin). Domann did practice this week. He's one of nine safeties NU brought with it to Evanston.
>> Freshman tight end Katerian Legrone is making his first trip for Nebraska. He has yet to appear in a game this season. He still has a full four-game slate to play this season while maintaining his redshirt eligibility.
>> Nebraska continued a recent trend of bringing two punters and two long-snappers. Both Isaac Armstrong and Caleb Lightbourn traveled with the team; Lightbourn has been the season starter to this point but was benched midway through the Wisconsin game in favor of Armstrong. Armstrong entered the week atop the updated depth chart.
>> Wideouts Todd Honas, Jaevon McQuitty and Andre Hunt all traveled as well. McQuitty and Honas are two receivers who have yet to appear in a game this season. Frost said Monday Honas could earn some play in the slot with the recent departure of Tyjon Lindsey. Hunt has been dealing with an injury over the last two weeks that has kept him off the field. He did travel for Wisconsin, though. Hunt, a freshman with redshirt eligibility, has only appeared in one game this season.
>> Senior defensive tackle Mick Stoltenberg traveled again on a waiver. He's dealing with an undisclosed left leg issue that has kept him out each of the last two weeks. Sophomore defensive lineman Deontre Thomas traveled after not making the trip to Wisconsin; maybe he can absorb some extra snaps with Stoltenberg's absence.
>> Linebacker Guy Thomas and defensive back Reid Karel are in Evanston after not traveling to Madison, Wisconsin. Defensive lineman Damian Jackson, corner Braxton Clark and outside linebacker Jordan Paup are not after making the trip last week.
