The passing of punter Sam Foltz continues to be felt in Nebraska and the Huskers’ opponents this season continue to come up with unique ways to acknowledge the tremendous loss.
Two weeks ago, Oregon laid a green-and-yellow bouquet of flowers at the 27-yard line during pregame to honor Foltz. Last week, Northwestern joined previous Nebraska opponents in wearing a memorial helmet decal while facing the Huskers.
On Saturday, Illinois presented Nebraska with a No. 27 Foltz jersey, signed by the team, in Illinois colors.

All Big Ten teams on Saturday used a commemorative coin featuring Foltz on one side and Michigan State punter Mike Sadler on the other for the pregame coin flip.
