There may be new evidence that this is the new jersey after two images were found on the Adidas website with the jersey going on sale soon.

If this the new alternate uniform, it would certainly fit for a throwback-style game where the Huskers honor the 1997 national championship team with it being the 20th anniversary of that season. If you look at the rear view of the jersey on Adidas.com, you’ll find a patch that references that team.
