Hail Varsity is excited to announce a new way for Nebraska fans to interact following games this season and it involves a former Husker.
Jeremiah Sirles and Hail Varsity have partnered on a new postgame reaction show called “Just My Opinion,” and it’s going to reach Husker fans in a brand-new way. The fully-interactive weekly show, produced on Twitch TV, will allow Husker fans to hear Jeremiah’s reaction to the latest game, ask questions and talk all things Nebraska football with special guests from sports and entertainment.
The first broadcast of “Just My Opinion” will be at 5 p.m. Central following the Huskers’ season opener against South Alabama of Aug. 31. Audio of the shows will also be available as a podcast through Hail Varsity channels.
“When thinking about my podcast, I knew I wanted to deploy an innovative approach that would allow me to marry my love of Husker football with the audience I’ve built through Twitch,” said Sirles. “Hosting the show on this platform allows me to reach my peers— professional athletes, gamers––while cultivating new fans.”
Sirles played in 53 games on the offensive line over a four-year career at Nebraska, including 41 starts. He earned All-Big Ten honors as a junior and senior before signing with the San Diego Chargers in 2014. Sirles has appeared in 42 games over his five-year NFL career, starting 20, with stints in San Diego, Minnesota, Carolina and Buffalo.
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Jeremiah. He’s a popular, frequent guest on our shows and we look forward to the new and diverse audience his innovative approach will bring to the Hail Varsity brand,” said managing editor Brandon Vogel.
