Westerkamp has gone down in Husker history as one of the best wideouts to play for Nebraska. During his career, he recorded 167 receptions for a total of 2,474 yards and 18 touchdowns. His 167 catches even put him second on Nebraska’s career reception list.
While unable to participate in the NFL Combine or Nebraska’s pro day due to an injury, Westerkamp continued to receive interest from NFL teams. Per his NFL draft profile, he is considered a “possession receiver with good focus and a determination to come up with the contested catch.”
