Not only was the first-quarter pick against Troy the Huskers' first of the season, it was the first of junior corner Lamar Jackson's Nebraska career and the first by a Nebraska corner since Oct. 15, 2016, against Indiana.
Nebraska lost the turnover battle last Saturday against Colorado, 3-0, with two fumbles and an interception. The Huskers had turned the ball over by way of a fumble on the possession right before Jackson's interception as well.
The Huskers (0-1) currently trail Troy (1-1) 3-0 late in the first quarter.
