Nebraska football has one in the wins column.
The Huskers (1-2) used a strong first half and a late defensive stand to outlast Penn State (0-4) at Memorial Stadium on Saturday. Nebraska built a 27-6 halftime lead behind a big interception return, a scoop-and-score fumble return and two touchdowns––one rushing, one passing–– from quarterback Luke McCaffrey in his first start.
The Nittany Lions outscored Nebraska 17-3 in the second half and had two chances to tie it in the fourth quarter but were turned back by the Blackshirts.
