Head coach Mike Riley met with the media Monday morning where he updated the team’s many injuries. A couple of key updates:
>> Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. is expected to play against Purdue. No major injury to report from Riley, but he did say the senior is sore.
>> Left tackle Nick Gates and right tackle David Knevel are questionable for Saturday. Both are suffering from ankle injuries. Riley will know more after Tuesday’s practice.
>> I-back Devine Ozigbo is “good to go” for Saturday.
>> Backup cornerback Eric Lee. Jr. suffered a concussion, which is why he did not make the trip to Indiana. He is going through the concussion protocol.
>> Tight end Cethan Carter is out, but wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp is somewhere between doubtful and questionable. Similar to Gates and Knevel, Riley said he will know more about Westerkamp’s status after Tuesday’s practice.
