Nebraska-Illinois 2020: Game Day Forecast and Weather Updates

November 20, 2020

Forecast and updates brought to you by Rusty Dawkins of Husker Weather.

Nebraska vs. Illinois

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska

Date: Saturday, Nov. 21

Time: 11 a.m. CT

Current Forecast

The weather for the last three Husker games have been relatively quiet. A mix of sun and clouds with temperatures that were near perfect for football. But as they say, all good things must come to an end.

While it isn’t going to be brutally cold, it isn’t going to be very warm, either. Temperatures will likely be in the 40s for most of the day on Saturday before cooling into the 30s by the early evening. For the game, lower and middle 40s will just about do it.

Those temperatures wouldn’t be so bad, but a disturbance will be very close to us so rain is a possibility. Most of it should stay to our south, but a shower or two isn’t out of the question.

So, a chilly Husker game day with rain showers is possible. At least we’re going to avoid the wind this time. An east to northeast wind can be expected at 5 to 15 mph.

Here’s the hour by hour forecast:

  • Kickoff: Mostly cloudy. Temperatures in the lower 40s. Northeast wind at 5 to 15 mph.
Halftime: Mostly cloudy. Temperatures in the middle 40s. East wind at 5 to 15 mph.
End of Game: Rain showers possible. Temperatures in the middle 40s. East wind at 5 to 15 mph.
