Nebraska is headed to Iowa on Friday. Iowa City, Iowa is 300 miles east of Lincoln and it takes about 4.5 hours to get there on I-80. Weather-wise, they typically see the same kind of weather we do here in Lincoln. The average this time of year in Iowa City is 43 for the high and 25 for the low and overall. We’ll be close to those numbers on Friday.
Early Friday morning will start with a few clouds, a little bit of a northwest breeze and temperatures close to the freezing mark. By kickoff, we’ll have warmed up a little and should be pushing into the lower 40s. There will be a few clouds and a light northwest breeze.
At halftime, we’ll see more sunshine, but that won’t warm us up much. Still not too shabby, with temperatures in the middle 40s, which is just above average. The wind continues to not be an issue and will be light out of the northwest.
By the end of the game, we’ll start to cool off some but will still hang onto the 40s. We’ll see plenty of sunshine and that northwest wind at 5 to 15 mph.
