Nebraska-Minnesota 2020: Game Day Forecast and Weather Updates

December 10, 2020

Forecast and updates brought to you by Rusty Dawkins of Husker Weather.

Nebraska vs. Minnesota

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska

Date: Saturday, Dec. 12

Time: 11 a.m. CT

Current Forecast

As a low-pressure system pushes across the middle of the country (just to our south), we are going to see a good chance for accumulating snow. Timing has most of the snow falling Friday into Friday night, but some of that will try to linger into early Saturday morning. Most of it, however, should be out of here by kickoff.

Along with the chance for snow, it’s going to be colder. This was a very warm week, in fact, we saw two days with record high temperatures. By Saturday, it’ll feel and look more like mid-December. Not only that, the wind is projected to be out of the north at 10 to 20 mph, which may blow around snow that has already fallen or continues to fall.

This is an evolving weather system, and we all know things can change. If they do, we’ll have updates here and on our social media channels.

Here is the hour by hour forecast:

  • Kickoff: Snow possible, 31 degrees, north wind at 10-20 mph.
  • Halftime: Snow possible, 32 degrees, north wind at 10-20 mph.
  • End of Game: Snow possible, 33 degrees, north wind at 10-20 mph.
