Location: Evanston, Illinois

Time: 11 a.m. CT

Current Forecast

Nebraska is headed to Northwestern for its second game of the year. This week’s matchup is in Evanston, IL, just north of Chicago. The average high this time of year is close to 50 degrees, but we’ll be way above that by Saturday afternoon.

We’ll start the day off with mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the lower 50s and a light south breeze. By kickoff, you will think it’s early October and not early November.

Temperatures will already be in the lower 60s by the 11 a.m. CT kickoff with plenty of sunshine and a bit of a south wind picking up just a little. By halftime, we’ll be pushing close to 70 degrees. To put that into a some perspective, the record high for that area on Saturday is 75.

As we head into the fourth quarter, we’ll still have plenty of sunshine and temperatures will be close to 70 degrees with a south wind at 10 to 20 mph. To put that into a some perspective, the record high for that area on Saturday is 75 degrees. We could see a few wind gusts around 25 mph.

Overall, lots of sunshine, much warmer than it typically is in Illinois in early November and only a little bit of a south breeze. Pretty nice day for some Husker football!
