But road football is better than no football, and the Huskers have a chance here to be the first team to knock off Northwestern in 2020. Maryland couldn’t do it. Iowa almost did it, but couldn’t do it. Can Nebraska?
We talk all about that very topic on the latest episode of the I-80 Preview. The Wildcats are playing their typically tough brand of defense. The offense has looked better than it did a year ago, but there are some signs that the steps Northwestern has taken on that side of the ball were wobbly at best.
Can Nebraska’s defense step up to the challenge without two starters for the first half? Will the Huskers’ offense be able to get things done on the ground? For just the second game of the season, there’s already a a lot on the line for Nebraska. Being 1-1 with Penn State coming to town feels a whole lot better than 0-2.
