Former Blackshirts Grant Wistrom and Jason Peter addressed the current Nebraska football team last Friday. The talk left a big impression, with everyone from senior defensive lineman Freedom Akinmoladun to quarterbacks coach Mario Verduzco weighing in on it.
Wistrom joined Hail Varsity Radio on Monday to share a little insight into that talk. However, we didn't know exactly what was said. Until now, that is.
Gerrod Lambrecht, chief of staff for Nebraska, shared an edited video of the talk to Twitter Thursday afternoon.

"To be able to walk on that field is a privilege and an honor, men," Wistrom said in the video. "People ask me, 'Do you miss football?' The only time I miss football is when I'm standing in that stadium because that's when it meant the most to me."
Peter asked the players if they were making the others around them better, and encouraged them to challenge each other to be better.
Wistrom's message was similar, telling the team it's on them to turn around a losing season.
"You can switch from a losing mentality to a winning mentality, just like that," Wistrom said. "How bad do you want it?"
As for the rest of what Wistrom and Peter told the team? As Lambrecht tweeted, "the rest stays in house."
