Here are a couple notes on the additions and ommissions.
>> Sophomore wideout JD Spielman is in Iowa with the team after missing last week's game against Michigan State. Spielman is still nursing a foot injury suffered against Illinois on Nov. 10 and is expected to be a game-time decision. He's got a team-leading 66 catches for 818 yards and eight scores.
>> Walk-on Matt Masker has replaced sophomore Noah Vedral on the travel squad. Vedral didn't suit up for last Saturday's game. He's dealing with an upper-body injury but Nebraska coaches haven't said what that is specifically. Sophomore Andrew Bunch will slide into that primary backup role for starter Adrian Martinez.
>> Eighteen of Nebraska's 19 seniors on the roster traveled with the team for the season finale. The only member of the graduating class not in Iowa City is running back Bo Kittrel, who is out with an injury.
>> Freshman wideout Justin McGriff is making his first road trip with the team of the season. McGriff has yet to even appear in a game this year so he can play and still retain his redshirt eligibility.
>> A handful of guys who traveled on the Huskers' last road trip who did not make this trip include: linebacker Guy Thomas, defensive lineman Deontre Thomas and offensive lineman Will Farniok. Guy Thomas has played twice this season — against Michigan and Bethune-Cookman. Deontre Thomas has played in four games with the plan to redshirt him; he hasn't appeared since the Purdue game. Farniok has not played.
>> Defensive linemen Fyn Anderson and Damian Jackson are back on the travel roster after not traveling to Ohio State. Matt Jarzynka is also with the team.
