Nebraska-Rutgers 2020: Game Day Forecast and Weather Updates

December 17, 2020

Forecast and updates brought to you by Rusty Dawkins of Husker Weather.

Nebraska vs. Rutgers

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Date: Friday, Dec. 18

Time: 6:30 p.m. CT

Current Forecast

With a fresh pile of snow on the ground from a nor’easter, temperatures are going to struggle to warm up for the Husker game in Piscataway, New Jersey, on Friday. The game itself, which has a kickoff at 6:30pm CT this time, is going to be quiet but it’s going to be cold.

It’s the calm after the storm and we’re going to see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies Friday evening with a light north to northwest breeze. With high pressure settling in behind that strong storm system, it’s going to get cold. We’ll start the game in the middle 20s and drop into the lower 20s by the end of the game.

Here is the hour-by-hour forecast:

  • Kickoff: Mostly clear, 26 degrees, northwest wind at 5-15 mph.
  • Halftime: Mostly clear, 23 degrees, northwest wind at 5-15 mph.
  • End of Game: Partly cloudy, 20 degrees, northwest wind at 5-15 mph
