Nebraska Spring Game 2021: TV Channel, Time, Live Stream, Rosters

May 01, 2021

Nebraska football is set to welcome Husker fans back to Memorial Stadium for the first time since 2019. After the COVID-19 pandemic canceled the 2020 spring game—it later went virtual—and limited fans in Big Ten stadiums, the Huskers are ready to see fans back in the stands.

Approximately 32,500 tickets have been sold for the spring game, which is set to kick off at 1 p.m. CT. Fans in attendance will be asked to wear a face covering or mask covering the nose and mouth while in attendance, outside of eating or drinking.

The spring game format will look a little different this year too. The first half will feature “thud” scrimmaging, an opportunity to give fans a look at Nebraska’s more veteran players who have either been limited throughout spring ball or who don’t necessarily need the added risk of injury from the game. The second half will be live, with to-the-ground tackling. The youth on the roster will get most of the snaps then.

Offensive coordinator Matt Lubick and defensive coordinator Erik Chinander will both call plays from the box, but instead of having various coaches helping specific teams as has been done in the past, Lubick will call plays for both the Red and White offense and Chinander will call for both the Red and White defense.

Both offensive teams will be on one sideline, both defensive teams will be on the other.
