According to a report from ESPN’s Austin Ward, Ohio State has plans to honor Nebraska’s Sam Foltz during the Huskers trip to Columbus.

Numerous teams have paid tribute to Foltz this season during their games with the Huskers including Fresno State, Oregon, Northwestern, Illinois, Purdue and Wisconsin. The Big Ten has also given conference teams the option of using a commemorative coin this season featuring Foltz and Michigan State punter Mike Sadler, both of whom were lost in a car accident this summer.
Count me as particularly excited for the band tribute. I have only seen the The Ohio State University Marching Band (aka “The Best Damn Band in the Land”) in person once — Nebraska’s last trip to Columbus in 2012 — but it was as good as advertised.
Nebraska faces Ohio State Saturday night at 7 p.m. CT on ABC.
