A Nebraska native is returning to the Good Life for a chance to play at his dream school.
Caden Becker announced on Monday he’ll transfer to Nebraska via the portal from his one-year stint at Wyoming. Becker is, essentially, a preferred walk-on and will not be on scholarship immediately.

Becker is an Omaha native who graduated from Skutt in 2021 as a 3-star quarterback. He was the first commit of Wyoming’s 2022 class and signed as strong, athletic quarterback. He didn’t play his fist year on campus. The Cowboys shifted the 6-foot-4, 230-pound standout to defensive end this spring in order to work more off his size.
Becker entered the transfer portal almost as soon as the window opened. Nebraska is bringing him in to play a hybrid tight end-H back role. The former dual-threat quarterback could also step into a potential wildcat role. In his final season at Skutt he threw for 1,238 yards, seven touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran for 544 yards on 118 attempts and eight touchdowns.
