Another day, another Husker returning.
This time the senior announcing his return for another season is linebacker Will Honas. He shared a video on Twitter Thursday morning with the note that he’s “ready to go to work with this team” for another year.

Honas is the fourth Husker senior to announce a return for one more season, joining fellow linebacker JoJo Domann and safeties Marquel Dismuke and Deontai Williams.
The 2021 season will mark Honas’ sixth year of football. He transferred to Nebraska from Butler Community College in 2018, but ultimately redshirted that first season after suffering a season-ending knee injury at Michigan. He has played in 23 games over his three seasons in Lincoln. He also started in all seven of the games he played in for Nebraska in 2020.
Honas, who was named an honorable-mention All-Big Ten selection in 2020, finished the season second on the team with 57 tackles. He led Nebraska with 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks, setting career highs for both. Over his 23 games as a Husker, Honas has 145 tackles and 12 tackles for loss.
Honas’ return solidifies a strong group at inside linebacker, which only loses senior Collin Miller (who retired from football at the end of the 2020 season after a career-ending spinal concussion).
