There might not be a better way to gauge how Tanner Lee's teammates felt about him than their reactions to his announcement that he will declare for the draft.
Lee announced his decision to leave Nebraska on Thursday, and his Husker teammates responded with overwhelming support.
It’s finally here Bro, you’ve work very hard to go after your dream, “THE NFL”. That is what we play College football for right?

Remember, Lee was named a team captain and a team representative to Big Ten Media Days before even taking a snap in a Nebraska uniform.
"His entry has been impressive just in the simple fact that he became a good teammate, became immediately well-liked and, through time, became very well-respected," then head coach Mike Riley said back in July. "He entered in not really a dramatic fashion. (He) just became one of the guys."

Derek is a newbie on the Hail Varsity staff covering Husker athletics. In college, he was best known as ‘that guy from Twitter.’ He has covered a Sugar Bowl, a tennis national championship and almost everything in between (except an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game… *tears*). In his spare time, he can be found arguing with literally anyone about sports.
