There Will Be More Morgan at Nebraska in 2018

January 04, 2018

It looks as though wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr. will be back in Lincoln for his senior season. At least that's the read after seeing this excellent gif from "The Wolf of Wall Street":

Morgan was a bright spot on a Husker offense that struggled in 2017. The junior fell 14 yards short of becoming the first 1,000-yard receiver in school history, but his 986 yards last season was enough for the single-season record at Nebraska, topping Johnny Rodgers' 942 yards in 1972 (a total that did not include the bowl game). Morgan earned second-team All-Big Ten honors.

Over three seasons under Mike Riley and staff, Morgan tallied 1,743 receiving yards on 119 catches (14.65 per catch) with 15 touchdowns.

His return should provide a boost to Scott Frost and staff's offense, which led the nation in scoring in 2017 at UCF. The Knight's leading receiver, junior Tre'Quan Smith, had 59 receptions for 1,171 yards and 13 touchdowns over 13 games. Overall, 17 players had a catch for UCF in 2017.

Play us out, Stan.
