July 26, 2022

Nebraska kicked off its Big Ten Media Days appearance on Tuesday. The Huskers have to get back to Lincoln by afternoon to report for fall camp and to participate in the annual Fan Day, so time was of the essence in Indianapolis.

But first, coach Scott Frost and three of his players met with the media to talk about the season ahead and more.

Check out the video from Nebraska’s time with the media below.

Coach Scott Frost

Scott Frost took questions at the main podium on Tuesday, fielding everything from how Casey Thompson is coming along at quarterback, the competitiveness of his team and more. That included some talk on the addition of Mark Whipple and what he brings to the team.

Tight End Travis Vokolek

Travis Vokolek missed Nebraska’s spring football with an undisclosed injury, but he’s ready to go for fall camp. He spoke about the workouts, offensive coordinator Mark Whipple’s offense and plenty more.

Defensive Back Quinton Newsome

Quinton Newsome wants to be a leader for Nebraska in 2022. He discussed that growth so far, fall camp and plenty more.

Edge Garrett Nelson

Garrett Nelson loves Nebraska football, but that shouldn’t surprise anyone. He spoke about that love for the game, his place as a leader on the team and much more, including some thoughts on the transfer portal and what it’s becoming.
