WATCH: Erik Chinander on Darrion Daniels, Expectations and More

March 27, 2019

After Coach Scott Frost spoke to the media Wednesday, defensive coordinator Erik Chinander was up next at the podium. (Well, table.) Chinander spoke about nose tackle Darrion Daniels and his immediate impact on the defense, the expectations for the defense throughout the rest of spring and more.

"I just want to see some of these guys that we think are emerging to develop a little more and really grasp a hold of whatever their spot is," Chinander said said. "We've only had one live practice. I want to see us tackle a little more. I thought we tackled well in the first scrimmage, but one time is not a big enough sample. I want to make sure we're tackling the right way. I want to see us keep running to the ball and I want to see how much we can push the installation."

Want more from Wednesday’s practice? We’ve got observations, plenty of sights and sounds and photos, plus our full practice report. Check back with Hail Varsity throughout the day for even more.
