Nebraska (2-6, 1-4) will look to continue a three-game winning streak on Saturday as the Huskers visit Ohio State (7-1, 4-1). The Buckeyes, coming off a loss two weeks ago at Purdue followed by a bye week, were ranked No. 10 in the first set of College Football Playoff rankings, released this week. Ohio State was listed as a 19-point favorite early Saturday morning.
The Huskers will hope to erase some ugly recent history against Ohio State. The last time Nebraska visited Ohio Stadium the Buckeyes dominated in a 62-3 win. It was more of the same in Lincoln last year as Ohio State jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead, winning 56-14. Nebraska hasn't forced an Ohio State punt since the teams played in Columbus in 2012.
Maybe that will change on Saturday. Scott Frost noted this week that the Huskers' confidence level is rising following back-to-back wins.
"I think we have a team that’s going up there thinking we’ve got a chance if we play well," he said. "That’s a big change and improvement."
