Nebraska coach Scott Frost addressed the media Monday morning following the Huskers' first win of the season, a 53-28 victory over Minnesota.
This week was originally Nebraska's bye week, but the Huskers scheduled Bethune-Cookman for Saturday to make up for the canceled Akron game. While the Huskers can't utilize a full week off for recovery, Frost did give the team Monday off from practice.
“I think a day when they only have to come to the building is positive . . . We just kind of felt like one day off would benefit us," Frost said.
He plans to make up for the lost time on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and expectes the team to be "dialed in" by Saturday. He was also clear they're taking Bethune-Cookman seriously.
"[Bethune-Cookman] is 4-4," Frost said. "That's a better record that we have."
