Sorry Antonio Reed, you are now the crazy uncle of the
Nebraska football family.
When almost every media outlet covering the Huskers
converged on Chicago for Big Ten media days earlier in the week, there was only
going to be a finite number of topics coming out of it. Everyone in a room
together asking the same sorts of questions over and over again can get a
little boring (and predictable) after a while. So, we decided to get creative.
With locker rooms becoming like families away from home, we
wanted to know who was the “mom” of the football team, the “crazy uncle” and so
on and so forth. Between quarterback Tanner Lee, defensive back Aaron Williams
and linebacker Chris Weber, their answers didn’t disappoint.

Derek is a newbie on the Hail Varsity staff covering Husker athletics. In college, he was best known as ‘that guy from Twitter.’ He has covered a Sugar Bowl, a tennis national championship and almost everything in between (except an NCAA men’s basketball tournament game… *tears*). In his spare time, he can be found arguing with literally anyone about sports.
