Losing in a big game is never what you want the outcome to be, especially if you know you're capable of beating that team, it can cause some teams to break and fall apart and it can also bring teams closer together. As for me and my team, it brought us closer together.
This past week we played a team that gave us a pretty close, nail-biting game last year. We ended up winning that one 21-14, but that wasn't the outcome this year as we went on to beat them 45-17. We did that without even punting the ball and having almost 600 all-purpose yards in just the first half!
We play our first home game this Friday at 7:30 against The Giddings Buffaloes. There will be a lot of D1 talent on display this week, athlete against athlete! That's always exciting especially for a true competitor like myself, so I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I see a lot of talk on social media about how the Nebraska season is going and about certain commits de-committing and things like that.
One thing about us is that we see the vision and we see how big the opportunity is for us here at the University of Nebraska. Our loyalty is what makes us who we are.
I was raised on the saying, "your life will be what you make it, make the right decision for you not for anybody else," and I think that's what we all did once we committed. We bought in to each other, the coaching staff as well as the university and fans.
We will be great again.
