Photography matters a lot at Hail Varsity. That’s been true since we started the magazine in 2012 and it is still the thing we hear most often from readers and subscribers––”great photos.”
To mark the end of another year in Nebraska athletics, here are 22 of our photos from 2022 that we think tell the story of the past year. All of these photos, selected from thousands of images, were published in an issue this year. If you’re not yet a Hail Varsity subscriber, give it a shot and get amazing images like this delivered straight to your door each month. While we love making sure the most people can see the work of our photo staff, there’s just something about seeing an image run big, on paper, that really ups the impact.
Ten years on since our founding, that’s still Hail Varsity at its essence. There are easier, and cheaper, ways to provide coverage of something our home state loves. But we believe print still offers an experience that can’t be replicated elsewhere. Thanks to you, the committed Husker fans who might be seeing these images for the first time or for a second time, we get to keep sharing what we believe in.
