Nebraska wide receiver Stanley Morgan, Jr. was arrested May 6 in Port Orange, Florida, for felony possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, per a police report. Morgan was stopped at 3:41 p.m. on May 6 for failing to come to a complete stop as he exited a 7-Eleven.

Morgan was found with 21.4 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the stop. Bond was set for $3,000 and Morgan is not in police custody at this time. While originally charged with felony drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court documents show that Morgan's charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. The drug paraphernalia charge was dropped.

Safety Antonio Reed was also in the car. While court documents say he was also arrested on misdemeanor drug charges, he currently does not face charges.

The university released a brief statement on Friday about Morgan's arrest:

"Head Coach Mike Riley and the Athletics Department are aware of a recent incident in Florida involving Stanley Morgan Jr. We will have no additional comment until we have all information regarding this matter."

Morgan will be a junior this fall for Nebraska and is the Huskers’ leading returning receiver. He had 33 catches for 453 yards in 2016.
