4-Star WR Tommy Bush Sets Official Visit

With just a couple weeks until college football season is officially back, it’s the time of year when Nebraska’s targets will start locking in official visits.

One of the most intriguing wide receivers that Keith Williams has his eye on is 4-star Tommy Bush out of Schertz, Texas. Bush has a great frame (6-5, 187) with tremendous potential and his offer list reflects that with offers from Nebraska, Florida State, Alabama, LSU, Texas and Oklahoma to name a few.

Bush told Hail Varsity on Thursday that he has he has locked in his first official visit and it’s to Lincoln for the Wisconsin game on Oct. 7.

“I’m coming to see the environment for myself and the way the offense operates and meet some of the coaches I've been talking to but have not been able to meet such as Coach [Mike] Riley.”

Bush also gave me some insight into what will go into his thinking when he makes his ultimate decision on where to play college football.

“I just want to really see game environments and who will stay with me throughout the entire process, not just get me to commit then move on,” Bush said. “I will be all in and want to make sure the college I choose is all in as well.”

He also confirmed that he wants to take all five of his official visits and make his announcement closer to signing day. He told me last month that distance is not a factor.

The tall-but-speedy wideout is exactly that type of receiver that is lacking a bit on the current roster. Bush has a ton of potential that could be unlocked by Williams.
