Nebraska is hard at work building the 2018 recruiting class, but working on the 2019 class is in full swing as well.

A big-time player of interest for the 2019 class is 4-star tight end Ryland Goede‍ (6-7, 235) who attends Kennesaw Mountain High School in Acworth, Georgia. Goede will be one of the most sought-after tight ends in the country for the 2019 class. He already holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Ohio State among others.

We were able to catch up with Goede about when he will take an unofficial to Nebraska this season and his recruitment in general.

HV: First, just want to confirm that you’ll be visiting Nebraska next week? Will your parents come too?

RG: Yes sir, I will be. It will just be my dad and my sister with me.

HV: Coach Tavita Thompson is your main recruiter right? What do you like most about your relationship with him? Has Nebraska been recruiting you long?

RG: He and I met this last spring, and we've kept in frequent contact since then. I just love how relatable he is. Recruits can relate to him, and he's just an all-around amazing guy and coach.

HV: Do you have top schools at the moment and where would you say the Huskers rank?

RG: I don't, no sir, but Nebraska is at the top of my mind right now for sure.

HV: What are you most excited to see on your visit?

RG: I'm just excited to meet the whole staff and experience the atmosphere. My sister [Addi Goede] is a big-time volleyball player as well so we are going to catch one of the volleyball games, too.

The Huskers seem to be in good shape for the big tight end. It’s early still, but getting him on campus with family is a big deal. The competition will be stiff but Thompson continues to do good work on the recruiting trail.

We will bring you updates after his visit for the first game.
