The Big Ten conference released the football schedules for the 2020 and 2021 seasons on Tuesday, and the Huskers-Hawkeyes regular-season finale, a "tradition" since Nebraska joined the Big Ten in 2011, is no more.

Instead the Huskers will close those two seasons against Minnesota, facing the Gophers in Lincoln in 2020 and in Minneapolis in 2021.

"Since moving to a nine-game conference schedule,” Nebraska Athletic Director Shawn Eichorst said, “it makes sense from a student-athlete health, safety and welfare perspective to play on Saturday at the end of the regular season.

Nebraska will also open the 2020 season with a conference game when the Huskers host Purdue on Sept. 5. It will be Nebraska's first conference game in a season opener since the Huskers beat Oklahoma State 17-7 in Lincoln in 2003.

"The Big Ten has built conference games into schedules earlier in the season, and we are excited with the unique opportunity to open our 2020 season with a Saturday home matchup against Purdue,” Eichorst said. “The challenge of a Big Ten game to open the season is exciting to our coaches and student-athletes, as well as our great fans and television partners.”

Here are the games we know so far for 2020 and 2021:
