Top-Rated Husker Commit Bookie Radley-Hiles Decommits

October 31, 2017

Coming into the 2017 season, Nebraska had high hopes for their 2018 recruiting class. All signs pointed to the small but star-studded class being one that would help Mike Riley launch the program to another level.

One major reason was the crown jewel of the class, 4-star defensive back Brendan Radley-Hiles‍, committed publicly the night before the spring game. He instantly became the top player in a good class but also had been a very vocal peer recruiter.

On Tuesday, he announced via Twitter that he would be decommitting and reopening his recruitment. Radley-Hiles visited Oklahoma for the game against Texas Tech last Saturday.

Nebraska now drops back down to 10 verbal commitments for the 2018 class. Losing Radley-Hiles from the class is a very big deal and without a doubt hurts the class greatly. I’ll have more on the fallout from his decision soon.
