Great to Get Back to Lincoln

This week as you probably know, I was able to get back up to Lincoln for the Northwestern game.

It was great to go back and catch up with everybody there and of course be in that atmosphere again. Although the game didn’t turn out the way I may have wanted it to, it was still good to go back and see everybody.

Things are pretty hectic right now especially with the recruiting process and after my brother Bookie Radley-Hiles decommitted, but you can never truly understand how stressful and important this process is until you’re in this position. When you’re doing this for something or someone bigger than yourself you have to make sure that everything is right and calculated. Understand that we have to spend 3-4 years at that particular university so the decision that we make is our decision and should not be judged either way.

On my plane ride back home that Sunday evening a lot of thoughts started to go through my head. I started to think about everything that I’ve done to get here. A lot of sacrifices and adversity that I had to go through but I am more than grateful for it because without it I wouldn’t be the individual I am today.

I started to think about my big brother in heaven and all my loved ones that are involved in this process with me and of course my next step in life. I am thankful for it all. My very last home game as a senior in front of my home crowd, family, and friends is this Friday. Man where has the time gone?!

It feels like yesterday I was just in the backyard with all my brothers playing football or messing with my little sister and annoying her. These are the memories that I’ll cherish forever.

I want to go out with a bang and like I said before there is only one thing that I want to bring back to this town and that is a state championship.

I refuse to settle for less right now or any time soon.
