Flurry of Offers Continues Under Frost

Yesterday, we took a look at the nearly 20 offers that Nebraska sent out in the short couple of days that Scott Frost and his staff have been in place. To illustrate how quickly things moved and how seriously the staff is taking recruiting, there are still many staff members that have yet to come to Lincoln. I don’t expect that to change until later in the week.

Also, here are the latest offers since yesterday afternoon.

Katerian Legrone‍, 3-star TE, Georgia

The UCF commit has great size (6-3, 230) and can really run for a kid that big. He fits the hybrid tiht end/wide receiver role that Frost’s offense utilizes so well.

Justin McGriff‍, 3-star WR, Florida

The second UCF commit that got an offer yesterday is hard to ignore at the wide receiver position. Being 6-5, 210 will get a lot of coaches’ attention.

Messiah Swinson‍, 3-star TE, New York

In case the staff can’t convince Legrone to join them in Lincoln, they offered the taller (6-8) version of him.

D'Marcus Adams‍, 4-star WR, Florida

The current Florida State commitment is another speedy athlete that can play either wide receiver or slot running back in Nebraska’s offense. Members of the Florida State staff visited him today but news has broken that Willie Taggart is taking the job, putting their class in question because no one knows which assistants will be retained.

Jerome Carvin‍, 4-star OL, Tennessee

The big lineman (6-4, 315) has a great offer list of southern schools including Alabama, Auburn and Florida. He is teammates with 3-star RB target Jeremy Banks.

Tyrese Ross‍, 3-star S, Georgia

The fast safety is a really intriguing player. He was a one-time Mississippi State commit who left their class once Dan Mullen left for Florida. He doesn’t have a Florida offer but Frost’s staff did offer him while at UCF.

Jayson Oweh‍, 4-star DE, New Jersey

Oweh is one of the best defensive end prospects in the country. He was on the radar of the previous staff but is thought to be a Penn State lean.

Jaycee Horn‍, 4-star CB, Georgia

The son of former NFL All-Pro wide receiver Joe Horn was a Tennessee commit before its coaching search turned ugly. He’s fast and physical.

Josh Henderson‍, NR, 2019 RB, New Jersey

Henderson has good size (6-0, 200) and is a nice all-purpose running back.

Caedan Wallace‍, 4-star 2019 OL, New Jersey

The new staff certainly seems to place a bigger emphasis on the east coast. The big man (6-5, 315) has offers from schools like Florida State, Oregon, Oklahoma and many more. I talked to him earlier and he has high interest in Nebraska.

Other nuggets

>>Tommy Bush is set to receive an in-home visit from the Nebraska staff today. He continues to tell Hail Varsity that Nebraska remains high on his list. He also let it slip that he expects the new staff to see him after they visit Joshua Moore.

>>I reported last night that 4-star quarterback Adrian Martinez would be visiting Lincoln with his dad this weekend. He very likely will not be the only QB in town this weekend, so pay attention to the site for more on that as soon as I get confirmation.

>>Recent offer, 3-star safety Tyrese Ross, told me earlier that after decommitting from Mississippi State, he is wide open. He is strongly considering taking an official visit to Lincoln as well.

>>It has only been a couple of days of this staff on the job, but I am already hearing great things about their organization and tenacity on the recruiting trail. Running backs coach and junior college recruiting point person Ryan Held has been consistently praised as someone Husker fans should get used to doing big things.
