Huskers Were in a Gift-Giving Mood over Christmas

The Nebraska coaching staff was hard at work even on Christmas. You could say they did their best Santa Clause impression with the present being the opportunity to join the Big Red Revival. Let’s take a look through each offer and a bit of other news around Huskers recruiting.

3-star wide receiver Delon Hurt‍ is not very big (6-0, 190) but is fast with the ability to take a quick catch for a touchdown. The Utah commit seemed excited by the offer on social media.

4-star wide receiver Solomon Enis‍ is the son of legendary Penn State running back Curtis Enis. Most believe he will eventually follow in his dad’s footsteps but he is the type of prospect you can’t ignore since he did not sign in the early period and is uncommitted. He has three official visits remaining.

John Jackson‍ is a 4-star wide receiver from traditional powerhouse Junipero Serra in California. The raw receiver has a tremendous amount of upside. Look for Nebraska to push hard for a visit in Januaury, he’s scheduled to visit Wisconsin next month.

Ta'Zhawn Henry‍ is the only running back in the Christmas-offer extravaganza. I believe the staff will take an additional running back if they can get a speedy game-breaker to give the offense more options. Henry was a TCU pledge who seems to be open to visiting Nebraska.

In non-offer news, Nebraska made the final six for 3-star wide receiver Dominick Watt‍. I’ve always been impressed with Watt’s speed and hands. He tracks the ball very well over his shoulder, making those catches look routine. He would be a terrific addition to the wide receiver room at Nebraska. The Huskers still need to host him on a visit and will look to secure him in January.

Expect Nebraska to continue searching for wide receivers and perhaps even circle back to players the previous staff was in on like high 4-star Jalen Hall‍ and 4-star Isaah Crocker‍. Cornerback and wide receiver are still the two biggest needs in this class.
