Let the national promotion of Scott Frost’s rebuild in Lincoln continue.

Following a 34-27 win over Auburn in the Peach Bowl on Jan. 1 and the completion of the only undefeated season in major college football, new Nebraska head coach Scott Frost is set to provide pregame coverage for ESPN in the run-up to the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 8. He will appear on College GameDay (2 p.m. CT) and Championship Drive (5 p.m. CT). The game is set to kick off shortly after 7 p.m. CT.

Frost will also be joined by Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn and new Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher on set to provide some coaching insight into the all-SEC title match between Georgia and Alabama. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey will also join the set on GameDay.

It would probably be safe to assume that while discussing the upcoming game between Georgia and Alabama, there will be some mention of the fact that Frost’s former team, Central Florida, has gone all in on claiming to be the 2017 National Champions.

The Knights’ athletic director, Danny White, has made it very clear the Knights believe they deserve the crown after a perfect 13-0 year. There will be a parade in Orlando, the coaching staff is receiving bonuses and the Knights’ Twitter name, bio and header have all been changed to reflect the sort-of-not-really accomplishment.

Despite the lack of national recognition at a program level (the Knights have yet to crack even the top 10 this season), Frost has received plenty of individual recognition for his accomplishments. He has been named the Home Depot Coach of the Year, the AP Coach of the Year and the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year.
